Prof Jess Power – APVC for Learning & Teaching Enhancement

Jess leads Salford’s Learning and Teaching Enhancement Centre (LTEC) with over 25 years of teaching experience. She has significantly contributed to quality assurance and policy enhancement at national and international levels, evidenced by her impactful research publications and the award of National Teaching Fellow (NTF).

Jess focuses on shaping the future of Higher Education, enhancing academic practice through integrating academic disciplines and creating collaborative learning networks. Her innovative approach has developed best-practice models for interdisciplinarity in teaching and learning, enhancing employability and enterprise skills. Her expertise spans fashion, textiles, health, engineering, education, business, and leadership. Jess is a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Fellow of The Textile Institute, Fellow of Chartered Management Institute, Associate of Entrepreneurial Leaders and is a committee member for GLAD-HE. She has also served as The Textile Institute Honorary Secretary and currently is Chair of The Textile Institute Council.
