Kevin is a member of the Learning Technology team within LTEC. His areas of focus and specialism include all aspects of technology driven assessment and feedback, design and content creation tools and processes, and the effective usage and ethics surrounding Generative AI in education and learning. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Electronic Imaging & Media Communication, an MA in Post Production: Sound Design, and a PGCAP. He is also an occasional lecturer on degree programmes at the University of Salford.
Kevin’s background is broad and diverse and has seen almost two decades of working in Higher Education across multiple institutions. He has worked in many areas of technology and media production, from IT helpdesk and service roles, audio-visual media pre- and post-production, systems and classroom design and installation, and years of supporting and leading teaching in the classroom across a large variety of Creative Media technologies, including, Adobe, Autodesk, and Audio, Video, and Motion Graphics production. He designed, built and managed a Makerspace facility at the University of Salford, supporting Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Micro:bit, 3D Printing, Laser Cutting, Coding, Electronics & Design Prototyping, as well as building and managing a DigiLab facility, supporting VR/AR/MR/XR, Motion/Facial Capture and 3D Laser Scanning.
