Beth is a Learning Technologist. Her areas of expertise are in learning, teaching and assessment using digital tools and the use of blended and online learning. She brings her experience as a teacher in further education colleges with young people and adults in English as a second language; and then moving on to Advanced Practitioner work, coaching teachers and working within quality to improve practice. Beth is particularly interested in equity, diversity and inclusion.
Beth holds BA (Hons) Graphic Design and Multimedia Technologies, and is a Certified Member Association for Learning Technology, a Microsoft Innovative Educator for the last four years – winning the ‘Educator Development Award’ for two years running; and is a ThingLink Certified Educator. Beth is currently undertaking the Professional Graduate Diploma in Academic Practice gaining Fellowship with Higher Education Academy, with a view to move into an MA in Education.
