Calum is higher technical skills lead for LTEC and manager of our learning technologists team. His areas of expertise relate to higher vocational, distance and online education, and the application of educational technologies. He brings experience from his background as a graphic designer and web developer, creative industries lecturer in further education, learning technologist, academic developer, and lecturer and module leader in academic practice.
Calum holds a BSc (Hons) in Design for Digital Media, and a Master of Education, and Doctorate of Education. His doctoral thesis explored professional self-perception and identity in those teaching online during the UK pandemic lockdowns of 2020 and 2021. He is a Senior Fellow of AdvanceHE.
